We're empowering creatives, administrators, producers, and behind-the-scenes members of the performing arts industry around the world to find their network and have agency over their careers. Our mission is to create a community and tools that support a modern approach to doing business in the industry; whether that's freelancing, casting a performance, finding qualified administrative candidates, or being hired by some of the world's leading arts institutions.

About the Role

With an equal emphasis on strategy and execution, our Marketing Director will work alongside our leadership team to determine the marketing and content strategy for Stagetime to drive overall business objectives. We're searching for someone to lead our marketing team who can dive deep on our community and product, test and validate marketing and content strategies to increase community engagement and growth, and provide strategic oversight for and management of marketing contractors.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing our communications strategy, including website, social media and email marketing content strategy

  • Brand Strategy: Engage in customer outreach, community events, and long-form writing to connect deeply with our community and deliver highly relevant content, both educational and editorial, to communicate the value of Stagetime and to grow a personable, expert voice in the industry through the Stagetime brand.

  • Consumer Insights: spot trends within the industry and learn what makes people and culture tick on Stagetime and the world at large; you will be comfortable looking at a set of data or reading research and developing it into a perspective to deliver highly relevant marketing messaging and perspective to establish the brand as an industry-leading voice

  • Product Marketing: You’re someone who can translate the value of the product to our users and identify relevant marketing opportunities. You’ll have the ability to work proactively with the team to seize core market opportunities and bring world-class products to market. You view the big picture and can piece different ideas and products together into a cohesive customer experience.

  • Strategy:  You’ll work with the leadership teams on the following business and marketing objectives:

  • Product adoption, growth & awareness - you’ll partner with product and marketing teams to ensure to own and drive continued adoption and engagement of our product base.

  • GTM - You will create comprehensive GTM plans and own and drive the GTM objectives, strategy, market analysis, product launch, competitive intel, personas, and buyer’s journey.

  • Participate in departmental efforts to strengthen the marketing, business development, communications infrastructure, and collaboration to increase marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Cross-functional management: Connecting the dots between product, marketing and sales, you’ll have superb partner management skills and be a world-class communicator to ensure everyone knows what’s launching, when and how it impacts them.

Requirements

We believe it's important for you to have:

  • Experience in digital marketing at a creative agency or client-side at an entertainment company/brand, tech company/platform, or media company. Experience in media, entertainment, or creative industries is a plus.

  • Social media superpowers on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok

  • Basic capabilities in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign

  • Exceptional communication skills, which empower all team members to support your strategy and enable clear communication with the Stagetime community

  • Copywriting experience for email and social media including Instagram, LinkedIn and email marketing

  • The ability to identify and forecast potential business problems/opportunities and identify appropriate ways to rectify/seize the opportunities and prioritize resources.

  • Ability to understand the market, competitors and core customer audience. Identifying essential trends, and rectifying problems as they arise. You share these insights broadly with all key team members and use these insights to mold the product, messaging, and GTM strategy.

  • As Stagetime is a fast-growing and paced workplace you’ll be someone who can juggle multiple projects at once and have proven prioritization skills
